This performance was created and first produced in London at the Institut Français on 30 June 2024 by Act’in Theatre with the P’tits Act students. Set sail with the crew on a journey across the Sea of Thoughts. The Captain and his crew are searching for Dream Island... Will they find it? On 30 June, parents and guests had the chance to discover the young actors from the P’tits Act groups in Kentish Town and South Kensington, performing a children’s play written by Candice Desmet at the Institut Français. But the afternoon did not stop there! The audience was treated to “Les Éclairs de génie”, our children’s improvisation troupe. The sketches imagined by the children amazed everyone, and the voting cards were flying around the room! Nothing is written, everything comes from the children’s imagination, following the instructions and constraints set by the referee. A celebration of creativity and spontaneity! And because the fun was not over yet, the afternoon ended with the screening of a film created by the young students from the cinema workshop. After discovering French films, as well as filming and editing techniques, our young actors stepped in front of the camera to tell a story that travels back in time...!
