On 16 February 2023, Act’in Theatre celebrated Valentine’s Day with an evening dedicated to love in all its forms. In an original theatre production, step through the doors of “The Palace of the Four Roses”. Discover the secrets of this brothel and its colourful, endearing characters in a production directed by Candice Desmet. When Madame Violette and her employees are confronted with bureaucratic rigidity, a sense of disillusionment begins to take hold of The Palace of the Four Roses. But sometimes, don’t we have to hit rock bottom in order to rise again? Lost and rediscovered family relationships, friendship... love in its broadest sense, taking so many different forms, allows us to face any challenge, whatever changes may come. Enter a world of power and dominance among sex workers and glittering glamour. In the second half of the evening, the improvisers returned to the stage for hilarious sketches on the theme of love. The audience set the pace through their suggestions, which were then brought to life on stage under the romantic guidance of the Master of Ceremonies.
