This show was created and premiered on 14 March 2024 at the Toulouse-Lautrec Jazz Club Restaurant in London by Act’in Theatre. Abigail suffers from writer’s block, a writer’s worst nightmare. Alongside Margaret, her assistant, she decides to seek inspiration in a mystical forest, a place that has been the source of countless legends for decades. Deep within this wild landscape live the Fates, who, according to mythology, hold the destiny of humanity in their hands. Clotho spins the thread of life, Lachesis measures it, and Atropos cuts it. When impatience leads us to make mistakes, when the past makes us lose sight of ourselves, we always find what we are looking for... But at what cost? The second half of the evening brings long-form improvisation! The quest continues! The Parentheticals take you on their hilarious and absurd search for the perfect chips, as Tom is granted a four-hour leave from Heaven to seek out one of the pleasures he denied himself throughout his life: Belgian fries, triple-cooked... and all of this after 6pm!
