This show was created and produced for the first time in French in London at the Peckham Theatre on the 24th June 2023 by Act’in Theatre.
Day breaks, a new cycle begins on the Egyptian dunes. Welcome to the land of the Pharaohs, their gods and their people. Immerse yourself in the colourful world of the pyramids, revisited in Act’in Theatre style, of course!
The Pharaoh king ToutânKanon has been ruling for centuries over his land on the Nile. But recently, he turned towards anger, arrogance and blasphem. The Gods are unhappy, and are arguing over his destiny: will the love of a Pharaoh queen in a neighbooring kingdom save him? Or should the king die according to ancient rites? This tragic tale in the heart of a pyramid will follow its course thousands of years later, when a greedy group of explorers discovers the traces of the same tomb. Is the cycle of history ever truly complete?
The evening continues after the interval with an improvisation match in French. Under the direction of the referee, 2 teams face off in an improvisation match at the summit. And we’re counting on your votes to elect the winners. A festive atmosphere, lots of laughs, caucuses and sock throws!
Written & directed by Candice Desmet.
