This show was created and produced for the first time at the Toulouse-Lautrec Jazz Club in London on the 14th March 2024 by the company Act’in Theatre.
Abigail has writer’s block. With Margaret, her assistant, she decides to seek her inspiration in a mystical forest that has been the source of many legends for decades.
What nobody knows is that this wilderness is home to the Fates, who, according to mythology, hold the fate of humanity in their hands. Clotho weaves the thread of life; Lachesis unwinds it and Atropos cuts it. When impatience pushes us to make mistakes, when the past pushes us to forget ourselves, we always find what we’re looking for… But at what price?
Welcome to Diland, an enchanted forest where you can meet the gods of destiny.
In the second half of the evening, it’s time for long-form improvisation! The quest continues! The Parentheticals troupe took us on a zany quest for fries, when Tom was granted a 4-hour leave from paradise to seek out one of the pleasures he has denied himself all his life: Belgian fries, triple cooked… and all after 6pm!
