This show was created and performed for the first time at the Peckham Theatre in London on the 21st June 2025 by Act’in Theatre.
Welcome to a little cobblestone square in Paris, somewhere between dreams and daily life. There’s Suzanne’s bakery, where the latest gossip is exchanged, Marcel’s café — a refuge for regulars — and a newspaper kiosk that seems to be waiting for another time…
“A Day in Paris” is a day like any other, and yet one of a kind. On this square, stories intersect — sometimes without even noticing each other. Some people pass by, some pause, some love in silence, some dream of leaving, and some are finally coming home. Each one, in their own way, contributes a note to the city’s melody — along with the cooing of pigeons. And since June 21st is no ordinary date, this performance also celebrates La Fête de la Musique! The square comes alive with rhythm, and the stories take on a more musical tone… A night where voices and sounds resonate as one.
The play was followed by a high-energy improv match with the Improzac troupe. The feathered Masters of Ceremony and the ruthless referee guided the audience, as two teams faced off with their suggestions and votes!
